Barona Resort and Casino Landscape Renovations*

Owned and operated by the Barona Group of Capitan Grande Band of Mission Indians, Barona Resort and Casino is the entertainment destination in northeastern San Diego County.  A climate appropriate  landscape redesign for key areas was implemented. A holistic water assessment was performed for the water supply and distribution which verified water savings. In addition, a maintenance program was introduced to combat the ongoing drought and water restrictions, and landscape staff were retrained to learn how to maintain low water use plants.  With sustainability at the forefront, landscape and maintenance improvements were integrated and achieved.
