Fire Station 50 is a new approx. 13,800 square foot LEED Silver fire station which will accommodate 10 crew members. It will include an apparatus bay, dorm rooms, kitchen, watch room, ready room, station alerting system, and a training classroom. Located on Rose Canyon in University City, the project site includes climate appropriate plants, native habitat restoration areas, and a public art piece inspired by the character of the site. A comprehensive irrigation system was designed to reduce water use and minimize nuisance flow in this wildlife corridor adjacent site.
