The Villages of Old Town Community Planning*

Temecula, CA

The community master planning park design of this 200 acre project addressed the City of Temecula’s desire to integrate the proposed new development into the adjacent Old Town Temecula historic district. In order to translate the rich history of the City into the 13 pocket parks and central community green, a historical timeline was developed and took thematic inspiration from local modern and historical events. Each pocket park was then themed to relate to the events and the themes were then translated into design.
