The Kearny Mesa Vernal Pool Restoration is a 3-acre privately owned, degraded vernal pool complex. This carefully planned restoration and enhancement included the preservation of identified vernal pools and the integration of additional vernal pools in disturbed and filled areas of the property. The restoration plans also included removal of invasive plant species and restoration with Diegan Coastal Sage Scrub plant species to return the site to pre-disturbance conditions and maximize ecological uplift.
