Date Street Plaza (Piazza Famiglia) Concept Design*

Three conceptual plaza alternatives were created for the Date Street Plaza (Piazza Famiglia) for the neighborhood of Little Italy in San Diego. The designs connected to the history of the Little Italy community, and created valuable and flexible use community park space to an existing urban environment. The plaza options were designed to be an entertainment destination and allowed flexible use to accommodate daily, weekly, monthly, and seasonal events, while respecting the unique character of Little Italy.
