Recognized for its sustainable design, this 58 acre LEED Gold project is the Military’s newest medical care facility in Camp Pendleton.  The design includes sustainable elements such as bioswales, permeable pavements, and habitat restoration.  Providing a visual respite from every floor, a total of 1 ½ acres of green roof was incorporated which doubles for stormwater capture.   This park-like medical center also incorporates plazas and memorials for ceremonies and other functions. Most importantly, to serve the need of its recuperating patients, this site incorporates healing gardens, physical training courses, and rehabilitation areas to enhance and augment the facility.
